A long sandy beach on the south west coast featuring clear waters and beautiful vistas. Fantastic for swimming and an array of water sports. Water sports equipment can be hired from Cornwall Watersports based in the nearby Holiday Park. They offer windsurfing, surfing and body boards, SUPs (Stand up paddleboards), kayaks, and also boat trips among other activities. Dogs are not permitted on the beach from 1st April until 1st November. A short five minute walk away in the charming village there are toilet facilities and a small car park. The Pentewan Valley trail provides a flat and accessible cycle trail that links Pentewan with St. Austell along the old Pentewan railway.
A relatively remote wide sandy beach on the south coast Roseland Peninsula. Accessible via a National Trust car park. Great for body boarding and swimming – there is the potential for large swells. The nearby Nare hotel restaurant “The Quarterdeck” serves from 10am coffees, light lunches, afternoon tea and an a la carte menu in the evening. On most summer days there is an ice cream van parked up alongside the beach. Toilet facilities are available in the car park.
A small hidden away sandy beach and pleasant picnic spot on the south west coast. At low tide there are many little coves to explore. A nice swimming spot and a dog friendly beach. There is space for only a few cars beachside, otherwise is accessible from a small National Trust car park situated a quarter mile away (approximately a 15 minute walk up a relatively steep slope from the beach). There are no nearby toilet facilities available.
