The property is located within easy reach of local facilities with both the south and north coast no more than approximately 10-15 minutes drive. It is approached via a private drive from the Coombe road with ample parking on site.

Historically, Hendra Barn was part of a working family farm and still lies in the heart of the farming community. In 1996, our family acquired the property and began to renovate and extend the main barn, taking care to preserve the original stonework and supporting beams.
More recently, a 2-bedded timbered cottage has been built in the grounds. Over time we have been busy landscaping the fields and gardens to create a pleasant and tranquil environment.
One of our favourite spots is by the pond, which is stocked with koi carp and is home to two turtles, which my youngest son has aptly named Leonardo and Raphael...
Another great week in Cornwall and at Hendra. The garden looks great and the fish have really grown since Easter. Carne beach was wonderful. We can’t wait to come back…
So sad to be leaving Hendra Barn today after a wonderful week…We’ve had a great time and can’t wait to come back – there are so many things we ran…
We have had a fantastic time here. The barn is lovely, felt like home. We have enjoyed the garden, St. Michaels Mount, Charlestown beach, Eden project, Carne Beach, Heligan gardens…
Hendra Barn is set in a rural location and as such is not suited to everyone. There are steps leading from the car park to the cottages and further steps in the garden, the paths are mainly laid out with gravel and there are rabbit and badger holes on the green areas. There is a KOI pond in the garden which has a steel frame cover to protect the fish from herons. The pond is deep and therefore we advise that you take care and do not climb onto the structure on the pond.
The easiest and often the quickest route is on the A30. Exit the A30 onto the A3058 to St Austell; this exit is roughly a mile after you pass the McDonald’s at Fraddon. After taking the exit you will come to a set of traffic lights in 700 metres. Turn left at these lights in the direction of St Austell A3058. This is quite a windy road so please drive carefully.
After around 1.7 miles you will come to a roundabout, go straight across still heading along the A3058 to St Austell. Continue on this road to St Stephens for 3 miles. Still on the A3058 as you leave St Stephen you will pass Hawkins Motors Peugeot Garage on your left hand side. Around 300 metres later on a bend in the road take the turning on your right onto Coombe Road (Hall’s car centre is on the bend in the road)
Coombe road is a typical of Cornwall very tight in places. After around 700 metres you will come to triangle of grass on your right hand side and a black and white sign with Hendra pointing right. Please turn here through the double gates.
There is further parking next to Hendra Barn and Neskar that you can use which is accessed by the shared lane. Directions
